It is important to note, however, that EU regulators, including the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) and national competent authorities in each member state, retain the right to take action against foreign firms if they breach EU laws or regulations. This includes the potential to impose sanctions, investigate client complaints, or pursue enforcement actions under MiFID II, MiFIR, or the Markets Abuse Regulation (MAR). Therefore, while JPI Investments operates in the EU under the exemptions provided by MiFID II, we remain subject to EU oversight and can be held accountable for any regulatory concerns or violations arising from our operations in the European Union.
